A successful democracy after 70 years? Germany 1949-2019 with Czech eyes

The Prague Centre for Transatlantic Relations of the CEVRO Institute (PCTR) in cooperation with Hanns Seidel Stiftung, organised a public debate “A successful democracy after 70 years? Germany 1949-2019 with Czech eyes” The debate took place on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the atrium of the CEVRO Institute (Jungmannova 17, Prague 1).
The panel discussion was opened by two academics from FSS Masaryk University - prof. Vít Hloušek and dr. Vratislav Havlík. Subsequently, there were three personalities in the debate who are constantly and systematically engaged in Germany: Tomáš Kafka, poet and diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aleš Valenta, historian, writer and analyst of the Václav Klaus Institute, and Rudolf Jindrák, diplomat, former ambassador to Germany Department of CPR.
The debate was introduced by Alexandr Vondra, the Director of PCTR. and modetared by Ladislav Mrklas, political scientist and vice-rector of CEVRO Institute.
